I am a fully qualified Sports Therapist and have worked with the Barton Rovers FC as a pitch side medic for the last 13 years with semi-pro athletes.
Barton Sports Therapy Clinic has been managed by myself for the last 10 years now, and is located at Barton Rovers FC in Bedfordshire. We provide massage, injury assessment, rehabilitation for sports injuries and also general aches and pains and support with medicals conditions such as hyper-mobility, knees operations, joint replacement.

The Swedish massage is one of the most common types of massages you can get. It is performed to energise the body and improve overall health. This type of massage involves actions like percussion, kneading, vibration, tapping and rolling. Massage oil or lotion is used to protect the skin from friction.

Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. Soft tissue is connective tissue that has not hardened into bone and cartilage; it includes skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (a form of connective tissue that lines and ensheathes the other soft tissues). Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

Having a medical examination allows us to assess the extent of your injuries, establish the amount of pain and suffering you have sustained and the length of time it may take for you to fully recover. The medical report will support your claim and form the basis of the evaluation for any compensation payment.

Speciailised in sports, we work with customers to reach their exercise and wellness goals. As your Personal trainers we can assess our customers’ bodily strengths and weaknesses and create customized workout plans.

We can assist you with taping for stability and injury prevention from £5. Any contact sport in which players are consistently pushing and pulling each other; tape on the wrist helps protect against wrist injuries. Its very common that players will wear athletic tape on their wrists.
